RE:
Untimely request that the Board waive the $1,600 campaign finance late fee assessed against Bayou Mama Bear PAC, LLC, a political action committee, its committee's chairperson, Laura Rodrigue, and treasurer, Blake J. Arcuri, whose 2022 Annual campaign finance disclosure report was filed 8 days late.
Facts:

Blake Acuri, treasurer for Bayou Mama Bear PAC, requests a waiver and states the following:

He notes that he didn't receive the late fee notice until 6/21/2023, due to the mail not being transmitted by their third party mail vendor in a timely manner. It was not intentional or meant to hide anything from the Louisiana BOE when the report was filed late. Identifying the entity that was the only donor to the PAC was difficult because there were different versions of the name. Mr. Acuri made an effort to identify the entity correctly and ensure the report was accurate. The PAC will be dissolved permanently within the next 30 days since it has no activity planned for the future. He would like to ask that you waive the assessed late fee.
