Gregory Gauthier requests a waiver and states the following: His campaign was entirely self-financed, with no committee or outside donations. He and his wife were living in a hotel during the campaign due to home renovations following Hurricanes Laura and Delta. Renovations took nearly two years to start and six months to complete. This greatly reduced their available space and time for records. Additionally, Mr. Gauthier is a full-time Assistant Principal who had to cover for the principal during his absence due to a cardiac event and surgery. Mr. Gauthier also experienced a mild cardiac event following his campaign, leading to three surgeries, while being displaced from his home. These circumstances have affected his ability to pay fees as well.
