RE:
Request that the Board waive the $60.00 campaign finance late fee assessed against Steven Kennedy, an unsuccessful candidate for State Representative, 93rd Representative District, Orleans Parish, in the February 18, 2023 election, whose 10-G campaign finance disclosure report was filed 1 day late.
Facts:
Steven Kennedy requests a waiver and states the following:

The special election for House District 93 report was due on February 18, 2023. He and his team are new to the campaign finance process and apologize for filing late. They always seek to abide by the rules of the Louisiana Board of Ethics. He understands that he is subject to the late fee of $60. Mr. Kennedy was dealing with family issues and simply lost track of the time to submit the required reports. He feels this reason is considered a good cause and would like to ask that the fee be waived.
