Sen. Adam Bass requested an advisory opinion as to whether the Ethics Code prohibits him from applying as a Public Tag Agent pursuant to La. R.S. 47:532.1. However, that statute states that "no elected state official or employee of the state shall be allowed to become a public license tag agent." Sen. Bass has sought guidance from the Attorney General's office and no longer requires the Ethics Advisory opinion.
