Advisory Opinion request regarding the son of an EBR Council woman working for the St. George Fire Department.
Facts:
Anthony Amoroso is a paramedic. His mother is East Baton Rouge Council woman Denise Amoroso for District 8. Mr. Amoroso is interested in taking a job with the St. George Fire Department.

The St. George Fire District is a political subdivision of the State of Louisiana and is governed by a Board of Commissioners.

Law:
La. R.S. 42:1119A. No member of the immediate family of an agency head shall be employed in his agency.

La. R.S. 42:1119B(1) No member of the immediate family of a member of a governing authority or the chief executive of a governmental entity shall be employed by the governmental entity.
Recommendations:
Adopt the proposed Advisory Opinion.
