Waiver request submitted by Cynthia H. Brocks, candidate for Constable / Justice of the Peace Ward 2 / Plaquemine Parish in the October 14, 2023 election, regarding a $500 late fee assessed for filing her 2022 Tier 3 candidate pfd 54 days late. |
|
Cynthia Brocks was appointed to the Office of Constable on 8/28/2023. She was instructed to use the 10/14/2023 election date. Since it was appointed, she assumed the normal paperwork process did not apply to her and that she only had to file with the Plaquemine Parish Clerk of Court. If the waiver is not granted, this will cause a financial strain. (The late fee has been paid). Ms. Brocks would like to kindly request a waiver of the late fee and thank you for your time and consideration.
