Amelia Pellegrin was previously employed by the Port of New Orleans ("Port") from 2013 to 2020. In her roles with the Port, Ms. Pellegrin created and managed environmental programs and helped to develop the Port's Strategic Master Plan. The Port is seeking her assistance with completing an update to the Strategic Master Plan.
Ms. Pellegrin is currently employed as Planning & City Development Director for the City of Gretna. She stated that she will perform this work outside of her regular hours as an employee of the City of Gretna. Ms. Pellegrin also stated that she will not work on any portion of the Port's Strategic Master Plan that involves their facilities in Gretna, even though those facilities are not under the jurisdiction of the City of Gretna.

La. R.S. 42:1121(B): No former public employee shall ... for a period of two years following the termination of his public employment, render any service which such former public employee had rendered to the agency during the term of his public employment on a contractual basis, regardless of the parties to the contract, to, for, or on behalf of the agency with which he was formerly employed.
La. R.S. 42:1102(20.1) defines "service" as the performance of work, duties, or responsibilities.
