RE:
Request that the Board waive the $280 campaign finance late fee assessed against Phillip D. "David" Ridder, Jr, an unsuccessful candidate for Councilman, District 4, Tangipahoa Parish, in the October 14, 2023 election, whose 30-P campaign finance disclosure report was filed 7 days late.
Facts:
Phillip David Ridder, Jr. requests a waiver and states the following: He misunderstood the instructions for filing his report. He believed that he only needed to file the report for the time period when the election was held, rather than for the entire duration from January through the election. He thought that the deadline for filing was in October since that was the month of the election. He would like to express his gratitude and request a waiver of the assessed late fee.
