The Board in the past has reviewed legislation proposed that will affect the laws administered or the process of the Board of Ethics, including the Code of Governmental Ethics, the Campaign Finance Disclosure Act, and the Legislative, Executive and Local Lobbying Disclosure Acts.
Attached is the letter that was submitted on behalf of the Board of Ethics to the Legislature and the Governor regarding suggestions for legislation. Also, attached is the letter that was sent to the Legislature and the Governor concerning potential issues that affect the administration/enforcement of the Campaign Finance Disclosure Act after the enactment of Act 1 of the 2024 1st Extraordinary Session.
