Request that the Board waive a $2,400 campaign finance late fee assessed against Shelter Insurance La PAC, a political action committee, its committee's chairperson, Brian Waller and treasurer, Christina Workman in the October 14, 2023 election, whose 10-G campaign finance disclosure report was filed 12 days late. |
|
Brian Waller, committee chairperson for Shelter Insurance LA PAC, requests a waiver and states the following: The report was filed untimely due to an inadvertent omission of the filing deadline from their master PAC report filing calendar. Once they were made aware of the error, they filed immediately and made sure there weren't any other missing reports. They began inquiring about contracting with a vendor to manage their reporting requirements to ensure this would not happen again. Please consider the fact that their PAC just opened in 2023, and they are relatively small. They would like to respectfully request that the fee be waived or reduced.
