RE:
Request that the Board waive the $40 campaign finance late fee assessed against Kenneth P. Boudreaux, a successful candidate for City Council Member, District 5, City of Lafayette in the October 14, 2023 election, whose 2020 Annual campaign finance disclosure report was filed 1 day late.
Facts:
Kenneth P. Boudreaux requests a waiver and states the following: The report was filed late due to equipment difficulties and IT issues at his office. The fax machine was not working, and it was after hours with no IT support available. The following day, he faxed the report from another location successfully. For this reason and his reporting record over the past 16 years, Mr. Boudreaux would like to ask for a waiver of the assessed late fee.
