Waiver request submitted by Jason Smith, candidate for Sheriff / Washington Parish in the October 14, 2023 election, regarding a $2500 late fee assessed for filing his amended 2022 Tier 2 candidate pfd 95 days late. |
|
Bruce Dodd is requesting a waiver for Sheriff Jason Smith. Mr. Smith did not receive the amendment request and remembers completing his forms. He thought that they were filed electronically, but it appears that the attempts were unsuccessful. Although his spouses income and source were listed, they were listed on the wrong form since they were unaware that a school board is considered a political subdivision. Therefore, he would like to ask for a reduction, suspension, or waiver of the fee.
