Mr. Clapper states that he knew that he would be out of town when his May report would be due. He states in early June, he worked on his report and was sure he completed it. He received an email that he was tardy in filing so he logged back in and realized he failed to click finalize.
According to the log in records of the Board's computerized system, on June 11, 2024, information was entered on behalf of Benjamin Clapper disclosing no lobbying expenses for May 2024. However, the report was not finalized until June 26, 2024. Subject matters for May 2024 legislative/executive branches were also entered on June 11, 2024. The only activity that occurred on June 26, 2024 was logging in and finalizing the report.
