RE:
Request that the Board waive the $3,000 campaign finance late fee assessed against People For a Great Louisiana PAC - IE, a political committee and chairperson, Caroline Roemer, whose 10-G campaign finance disclosure report was filed 24 days late.
Facts:
Melissa Carollo is submitting a waiver on behalf of the People for a Great Louisiana PAC and states the following: They have always been committed to filing their reports on time. During last year's election, they corrected issues with the BOE and the federal level after taking control of their reporting, which an attorney previously handled. He was inattentive to their reporting, which caused multiple inaccuracies. Their records indicate that they had to amend multiple records as far back as 2020. Ms. Carollo believes one of the numerous reports during the election period was inadvertently submitted late.
