Advisory Opinion request as to whether the Code of Governmental Ethics ("Code") permits Roxanne Adams to serve as the Clerk of Council for St. Bernard Parish Governmental while also serving as the secretary of the St. Bernard Parish Fire Civil Service Board.
Facts:
Roxanne Adams currently serves as the Clerk of Council for St. Bernard Parish Government. On September 4, 2024, she was appointed to be secretary of the St. Bernard Fire Civil Service Board, effective September 16, 2024. Both are compensated positions.
Recommendations:
Adopt the proposed Advisory Opinion.
