Request that the Board waive the (3) $2,500.00 campaign finance late fees ($7,500.00 total) assessed against Daniel M. "Danny" Cole, an unsuccessful candidate for Governor in the October 14, 2023 election, whose 30-P, 10-P & 10-G campaign finance disclosure reports were filed 350, 330 and 295 days late, respectively. |
|
Daniel Cole requests a waiver and states the following: He ran his campaign alone because the people who promised to help backed out. Initially, he was the only candidate from the Democratic Party. When someone else entered the race, it was perceived that Mr. Cole had no chance to win. He never experienced so much stress and pressure at one time. Mr. Cole would never misrepresent himself as a congregation minister and school teacher of 30 years. He believed his reports had been filed. He had very little money and used it in the race. They were and still are having problems with their internet provider. Mr. Cole does not have the money to pay this fine and would appreciate your consideration in this matter.
