Advisory opinion as to whether the Code of Governmental Ethics ("Code") prohibits Timothy Collins from continuing his employment with the City of Plaquemine Police Department if he accepts part time employment to provide legal services to the Iberville Parish Government.
Facts:
Timothy Collins currently serves as the full time Assistant Chief of Police for the City of Plaquemine. He is an attorney licensed and in good standing in Louisiana. He would like to accept part time employment with the Parish of Iberville to supply legal services. He would not provide any service to Iberville Parish while on duty for the City of Plaquemine.
Recommendations:
Adopt draft advisory opinion.
