Request that the Board waive the $1,000.00 and $800.00 (total of $1,800.00) campaign finance late fees assessed against LA Automobile Dealers Election Action Committee, a political action committee, its committee's chairperson, Kristie Hebert, and treasurer, Coulter McMahen, whose July 2024 and September 2024 Monthly campaign finance disclosure reports were both filed 7 days late. |
|
Kristie Hebert and Coulter McMahen, for LA Automobile Dealers Election Action Committee, requests a waiver and states the following:
They recognize the importance of timely compliance, but the delay resulted from a series of unexpected challenges of administrative oversight, recent staffing transitions, and miscommunication caused by the accidental notice delivery to their prior address. Once they were made aware of the error, they immediately implemented a process to prevent future delays, including updated procedures and notification protocols. They have a strong compliance history and believe the above mentioned factors demonstrate good cause for waiving these fines.
