Request that the Board waive the $400.00 campaign finance late fee assessed C. Anthony Eaves, an unsuccessful candidate for Judge, Court of Appeal, 3rd Circuit, 2nd Dist., Election Sec. 2A, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, Jefferson Davis, Vernon Parishes in the November 5, 2024 election, whose Special campaign finance disclosure reports was 6 days late. |

Charles A. Lestiage, on behalf of C. Anthony Eaves, requests a waiver and states the following: He mistakenly used the check dates when he prepared his reports instead of the date the checks were received. Last year, Mr. Eaves inquired about which dates should be used, but he misunderstood the instructions. As further evidence of his misinterpretation of the rules, he amended the 30-P on 10/28/2024 when he received a check dated 9/1/2024, well after the report was originally due. He has amended the 10-G to reflect 10/30/2024 for each check listed on the SPEC report. Mr. Eaves is willing to amend the 30-P if he needs to and would like to apologize for the confusion.
