Waiver request submitted by Krystal Anne Boyance, an unsuccessful candidate in the November 5, 2024 election for the office of Council Member / District 5, City of New Iberia / Iberia Parish, regarding a $500 late fee assessed for filing her amended 2023 Tier 3 candidate pfd 112 days late. |
|
Krystal Anne Boyance recalls faxing all information for her PFD, including her income. Had she known that she failed to comply, she would have immediately taken care of the mishap. After contacting a BOE representative to ask a question on 1/28/2025, she was informed that she did not respond to the LFO. Ms. Boyance did not receive the LFO or the NOD. She has a dog, so mail carriers can't gain access to her door to get a signature. This is Ms. Boyance's first time running, and it has been an educational experience. In the middle of the runoff, she resigned from her job to better serve those in her district, so she does not have the funds to pay this penalty. Ms. Boyance has explored all other options and would like to request a waiver of this late fee.
