Waiver request submitted by Jimmy Challis Gore, Louisiana Commission for the Deaf, regarding a $1500 late fee assessed for filing his amended 2021 Tier 2.1 annual pfd 118 days late. |
|
Jimmy Challis Gore served as a Commissioner for the Louisiana Commission for the Deaf (LCD) for eight years. This was a volunteer position where he dedicated his time and efforts to advancing the needs of the deaf community in Louisiana. He has consistently made good-faith efforts to comply with all requirements; any delays or errors with previous reports were unintentional. Mr. Gore attempted to submit the 2021 report but later discovered it had not been received. He believes this issue resulted from an administrative or mailing error rather than willful neglect. Additionally, Mr. Gore relies on SSI, so the $1,500 fine would impose a significant financial burden on him.
