Request that the Board waive the four (4) $3,000.00 for a total of $12,000.00 campaign finance late fees assessed against The Voice of the People, LLC, a political action committee, its committee's chairperson, Sidney D. Torres, IV and treasurer, Lisa Schehr, whose 2020ANN and 2022ANN, 10-P and 10-G campaign finance disclosure reports were filed inaccurately.
Facts:
Michael J. Marsiglia, report preparer for the The Voice of the People, LLC requests a waiver and states the following: Due to an oversight, the PAC unintentionally neglected to request an additional suspension of the prescription deadline. They have consistently made every effort to adhere to all deadlines while working diligently to address any alleged deficiencies in their reports. Specifically, the PAC has engaged an accounting firm to thoroughly review and amend the reports to reflect the necessary information accurately. They appreciate your understanding and consideration of this request.
