Request that the Board waive the $2,200 campaign finance late fee assessed against Jefferson Parish Republican Executive Committee PAC, a political action committee, its committee's chairperson, Polly Thomas, and and treasurer, Dominick Impastato, whose 2024 Annual campaign finance disclosure report was filed 16 days late. |

Chairman Polly Thomas and Treasurer Dominick F. Impastato for Jefferson Parish Republican Executive Committee PAC requests a waiver and states the following: The funds received are primarily dedicated to voter turnout initiatives and are not used to support individual candidates in elections. The treasurer stepped down while fundraisers occurred, and a heated election cycle was pending. The undersigned assumed the duties regarding the organization's financial matters. There were misunderstandings regarding which expenses and donations would trigger the need to file a report. There were also records access issues due to online banking passwords. Financial professionals were hired to prepare the reports, determine what triggered the need to file, and ensure that this mishap does not happen again.
