| Request that the Board waive the $1,000.00 campaign finance late fee assessed against
Tonya S. Lurry, a successful candidate for District Judge, 18th JDC,ES 3, Div. B for a future election, her committee's chairperson, Jamie E. Fontenot, and treasurer, Donovan Dugas, whose 2024 Annual campaign finance disclosure report was filed 41 days late. |
|
Jamie E. Fontenot, committee chairperson for Tonya Lurry, requests a waiver and states the following: she submitted the Statement of Organization but never received notice that the annual report was due. Although she has new email addresses, she checked the former emails and has not received anything from CF since 1/11/2024. They have since set up reminders to submit required documents. The emails have been updated as well. As evidenced by the annual report filed, their conduct was not intentional. The report was filed after discovering the delinquency and Ms. Fontenot's return home after her vacation. She is willing to make an appearance only if questions need to be answered.
