Alesia M. Ardoin, report preparer for Orleans Jedi Guardians PAC, requests a waiver and states the following: Ms. Hutson was unaware of a problem with the filing until she received a notice. She attempted to contact the attorney responsible for the PAC's filing and was informed that he was in prison. She was told that she would need to seek new legal representation. All funds contributed to the PAC are Ms. Hutson's funds. No contributions were made by any other entity or person, and the only expenditure was made to the previous attorney who filed past reports.
The waiver request was submitted untimely because they believed the date on the LFO was 4/9/2025 instead of 4/4/2025.
Please note that the PAC is in the process of being dissolved. They would like to make an appearance. Please note that fine has been paid in full.

18:1505.4.A(1) Any candidate, the treasurer or chairman of a political committee, or any other person required to file any reports under this Chapter, who knowingly fails to file or who knowingly fails to timely file any such reports as are required by this Chapter may be assessed a civil penalty for each day until such report is filed.
LAC 52:1205(C) states if a report is filed more than 10 days late and the amount of activity on the report is less than the amount of the late fee to be assessed, the staff may reduce the late fee to the amount of activity or 10 times the per-day penalty, whichever is greater.
