| Advisory Opinion request from Bryan Tabor, Parish Council Member, District 1, Lafayette Parish, as to whether he may serve as a compensated director of a local utility company. |
|
Mr. Tabor currently serves as Parish Council Member, District 1, Lafayette Parish, as member of Lafayette Consolidate Government ("LCG"). SLEMCO is a member-owned electric utility cooperative serving the Acadiana area. SLEMCO and LCG, through Lafayette Utilities System, currently maintain a number of joint use electric facilities.
Mr. Tabor would like to serve as a member of SLEMCO's Board of Directors, which is a compensated position?
