Assistant District Attorney, Kenneth Dupaty, requested this
advisory opinion on behalf of the Ascension Parish Government ("APG").
APG has developed an area at the 23rd Judicial
District Courthouse in Donaldsonville, Louisiana, to rent to potential food
truck vendors. The property is owned by Ascension Parish, but the licensing,
management, and/or enforcement is being conducted by the City of Gonzales.
Brett Arceneaux, an Ascension Parish Council member, owns a
food truck, Arceneaux's on the River, LLC, and would like to rent one of the
food truck spots.
