RE:
Request that the Board waive the $2,500.00 campaign finance late fee assessed Dominic O. Weilbaecher, an unsuccessful candidate for Councilman at Large, At Large, Division B, Jefferson Parish in the April 1, 2006 election, whose 2024 Supplemental campaign finance disclosure report was filed 73 days late.
Facts:
Dominic O. Weilbaecher requests a waiver and states the following: He had been undergoing treatment for a medical condition since the beginning of 2024. Due to his condition, he was unable to file the 2024 SUPP report on time. Mr. Weilbaecher has filed timely since 2006 and asks the Board to waive or rescind the $2,500 late fee - as his current situation would not allow him to remit this payment. To ensure there are no further issues, with the assistance of BOE staff, he has closed his account.
