Request to withdraw advisory opinion request from Mayor Beryl Holmes, on behalf of the Village of Moreauville (the "Village"), as to whether the Code of Governmental Ethics (the "Code") prohibits the Village's Chief of Police to hire and supervise his son as a patrol officer.
Facts:
Mayor Holmes requested an opinion relating to the Moreauville Police Department ("MPD") hiring the son of the interim MPD chief. Mayor Holmes has informed staff that such opinion is no longer required.
Recommendations:
Allow withdrawal of advisory opinion request.
