RE:
Request to waive the $400 late fee assessed against Kayla Bourgeois for submitting her 2026 lobbying registration payment date 8 days late.
Facts:
Ms. Bourgeois states that she mistakenly listed Chevron Corporation as an entity she would lobby for. While Chevron is a client of her firm, Kean Miller LLP, it is not the entity she is directly employed by or registered to represent. After consulting with her firm's lobbyist, she realized the correct approach was to list her employer, Kean Miller. She inadvertently failed to remove Chevron prior to submitting her registration and states she has not had any lobbying activities no behalf of Chevron at any time. She contacted our office and states she amended her representation for Chevron.
