Walter Pilie' requests a waiver and states the following: He is new to public office. He copied the reporting schedule but found the filing process confusing. After winning, he believed he complied. Mr. Pilie thought he only had to file the PFD until he received the CF NOD on 3/10/2026. He spoke with a BOE representative and immediately filed. Mr.
Pilie has a career in engineering, serving as a vice president at two companies and as a part-owner of one of them. He retired in 2015 and focused on advocating for improvements through his parish. His home flooded in 2020, and he vowed to do whatever it took to ensure it wouldn't happen again. He ran for office in 2023 and won, but had no campaign help. Please waive or suspend the assessed late fee.
