Initial Request
J.D. Dantzler Jr. states that at the beginning of this school year, his daughter, Jenieca Dantzler, wasn't rehired. This is why the disclosure was not completed. In September, she was rehired as a high school teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. Upon receiving the NOD, Mr. Dantzler was in the process of determining his daughter's exact rehiring date, which was September 15, 2025. He would appreciate your consideration of this matter.
Reconsideration
Mr. Dantzler states his lost his two brothers on April 30, 2025 and May 12, 2025, respectively. His mother also broke her hip in August 2025. The medical documents provided show his mother in the hospital between September 17 - 23, 2025.

La. R.S. 42:1119B(2)(a)(iii) by September fifteenth of each school year, any school board member or superintendent whose immediate family member is employed by the school board shall file a disclosure statement with the Board of Ethics stating the facts of such employment. Any person who fails to timely file a disclosure statement under this Item may be assessed a late fee of fifty dollars per day, not to exceed one thousand five hundred dollars, subject to the provisions of R.S. 42:1157.

Suspend all but $500 based on future compliance with the Code of Ethics. The $500 is payable within 20 days and if payment is not received within 20 days, the full amount of the late fee becomes due and owing.
