Rebecca Revels has been employed at Maddison Middle for more than one year, her continued <br /> employment is not prohibited in the event her husband is hired as Principal. <br /> CONCLUSION <br /> The Board concluded, and instructed me to inform you, that La. R.S. 42:1119(C)(2) allows Dr. <br /> Rebecca Revels to continue her employment as a counselor at Madison Middle,while her husband <br /> Dr. Perry Revels is employed as the Principal of Madison Middle, since she was employed at <br /> Madison Middle for 13 years prior to her husband's hire as Principal. <br /> The Board further concluded,and instructed me to inform you,that R.S.42:111213(1)will prohibit <br /> Dr. Perry Revels from participating in any transactions in which Dr. Rebecca Revels may have a <br /> substantial economic interest. The Board concluded that the proposed disqualification plan meets <br /> the requirements of Chapter 14 of the Title 52 of the Louisiana Administrative Code-Rules of the <br /> Board of Ethics. <br /> This advisory opinion is based solely on the facts as set forth herein. Changes to the facts as <br /> presented may result in a different application of the provisions of the Code of Governmental <br /> Ethics.
