Ethics Board Docket No. 2021-525 <br /> Page 4 of 11 <br /> materials and equipment for school. <br /> IV. <br /> PROVISIONS OF LAW: <br /> 1. <br /> Section 1113A(lxa) of the Code of Governmental Ethics prohibits a public servant from <br /> entering into a contract,subcontract,or other transaction under the supervision or jurisdiction of the <br /> public servant's agency. <br /> Section 1113A(1)(a)of the Code provide in pertinent part:. <br /> §1113. Prohibited contractual arrangements; exceptions; reports <br /> A.(1)(a)No public servant, excluding any legislator and any appointed member of <br /> any board or commission and any member of a governing authority of a parish with <br /> a population often thousand or less,or member of such a public servant's immediate <br /> family,or legal entity in which he has a controlling interest shall bid on or enter into <br /> any contract, subcontract, or other transaction that is under the supervision or <br /> jurisdiction of the agency of such public servant. <br /> 2. <br /> Section 1112 of the Code of Governmental Ethics prohibits a public servant from <br /> participating in transactions involving his governmental entity in which he has a personal substantial <br /> economic interest. <br /> Section 1112A provides in pertinent part: <br /> A. No public servant, except as provided in RS. 42:1120, shall participate in a <br /> transaction in which he has a personal substantial economic interest of which he may <br /> be reasonably expected to know involving the governmental entity. <br /> 3. <br />
