Furthermore, the Board concluded that after you are married, the Code does not prohibit either of <br /> you continuing your employment with the Youngsville Police Department since neither of you are <br /> an agency head. However,the Board cautioned that neither of you should participate in a matter <br /> involving the Youngsville Police Department in which the other has an economic interest. You <br /> should request another advisory opinion if you get married and a matter arises that would <br /> necessitate either of you participating in a matter involving the other. <br /> This advisory opinion is based solely on the facts as set forth herein.
