In this role you act as the state homeless coordinator by assisting school districts <br /> with the federal mandates in Title IX to ensure students experiencing homelessness are identified, <br /> able to enroll in school, and are successful. You also act as the state parent and family engagement <br /> coordinator by assisting school districts in implementing family and parent engagement activities <br /> provided by the federal mandates in Title I. Lastly, you review school district budgets to ensure <br /> that funds are expended on allowable activities within the federal guidelines. You do not assist any <br /> individual students or parents in your employment with LDOE. <br /> You ask whether you can provide educational consulting services for compensation via AB Hunter <br /> Consulting, USA, LLC in Louisiana and surrounding states while you remain employed with <br /> LDOE in the Division of Federal Support and Grantee Relations. <br /> ANALYSIS <br /> As an Education Consultant Supervisor in the Division of Federal Support and Grantee Relations <br /> within the LDOE Office of Operations, you are a public employee and a public servant pursuant <br /> to La. R.S. 42:1102(18)(a) and La. R.S. 42:1102(19), respectively. Your "agency" for purposes of <br /> the Code is the Division of Federal Support and Grantee Relations because that is the office in <br /> which you carry out your primary responsibilities pursuant to La. R.S. 42:1102(2)(a)(i). Your <br /> governmental entity is the State of Louisiana pursuant to La. R.S.42:1102(12). Your governmental <br /> entity is the State of Louisiana pursuant to La.
