Ethics Board Docket No. 2017-1404 <br /> Page 4 of 10 <br /> 2015: $27,483.64 <br /> � 2016: $36,414.35 <br /> x� <br /> 2017: $34,642.56 <br /> 2018 $19,663.86 <br /> 9. <br /> Mr. Pope instructed staff within the Marshal's Office to pay Mr. Pope the supplemental <br /> compensation payments from the Marshal's Office. <br /> 10. <br /> On December 5, 2018, Mr. Pope was indicted by a grand jury for seventeen (17) counts <br /> of malfeasance in office in connection with receiving compensation which he was not entitled to <br /> receive. <br /> 11. <br /> On June 14,2021, Mr. Pope pled guilty to a felony for Malfeasance in Office. Mr Pope <br /> was sentenced to a suspended sentence of three (3)years incarceration,three (3)years of active <br /> supervised probation. Mr. Pope also paid$84,742.30 in restitution. <br /> IV. <br /> PROVISIONS OF LAW: <br /> 1. <br /> Section 1111A of the Ethics Code prohibits a public servant from receiving anything of <br /> economic value, other than compensation and benefits from the governmental entity to which he <br /> is duly entitled, for the performance of the duties and responsibilities of his office or position. <br /> Section 1111A of the Ethics Code provides in pertinent part: <br />
