Ethics Board Docket Nos. 2023-661 <br /> Page 4 of 12 <br /> 2019,GEO Foundation and GEO Academies entered into a Management Agreement for GEO Next <br /> Generation High School Charter School. <br /> 5. <br /> Robert McGarner served as an appointed member of the GEO Academies EBR Board of <br /> Directors from 2019 until his resignation on April 4, 2022. <br /> 6. <br /> On October 5,2022,GEO Foundation hired Robert McGarner as the Director of Security and <br /> Community Relations. Mr. McGarner was responsible for assisting GEO Foundation's network <br /> leadership in ongoing assessment of safety and security of school properties; developing network <br /> policies and emergency response plans for each region; developing relationships with local <br /> emergency responders;and advising GEO Foundation network leadership regarding hiring practices, <br /> contractual obligations, and qualifications of contracted, school-based security personnel_ His <br /> responsibilities included security of all school buildings for all four of the above referenced charter <br /> schools. <br /> 7. <br /> GEO Foundation issued W-2 Tax Forms to Robert McGarner evidencing payment from GEO <br /> Foundation to Mr. McGarner of$8,312.50 in 2022 and $10,024.00 in 2023. <br />
