R.S. 17:3996B Notwithstanding any state law, rule, or regulation tp the cotatrary and <br /> except as may be otherwise specifically provided .for in an approved chaiter, a charter schoo] <br /> established and operated in accordance with the provisions of this Chapter and its approved charter <br /> and the schaol's officers and employees sha11 be ex�mpt from all statutory mandates or other <br /> statutory requirements that are applicable to public schools and to public school offi�:ers and <br /> employees except for the fallowing laws otherwise applicable to pu.hlic schools wiih th� same <br /> grades: {20)Code of Governmental Ethics,R.S.42:1101 et seq.,with the excepti�n ofIt.S.42:1119 <br /> as it applies to any person employed by a charter school pr.ior to August 15, 2pQ3. <br /> 2. <br /> Section 1113B prohibits a public servant from enterin�;inta any contracts, subcontracts or <br /> other transactions un.der the supervision or jurisdiction of the a�ency of the public servax�t. <br /> §1113. <br /> B. Other than a legislator, no appointed member of any baard or commission, <br /> member of his immediate family, or a legal entity in which he has a substantial <br /> economic interest, from bidding or enterin�; into or having a substantial economic <br /> interest in any contract, subcontract, or vther firansaction which is under fl1e <br /> supervision or jurisdiction of the agency flf such appointed membez•. <br />
