Sr. hy virtue of <br /> Section 1141(C)(3)(� of the Ethics Code. <br /> III. FINDINGS OF FACT <br /> 3. <br /> Kenneth Pickett, Sr. was elected to the office of Mayor of the Town of Mansura on <br /> September 30, 2006, re-elected on October 2, 2021, re-elected on November 4, 2014, re-elected <br /> on November 6, 2018, and re-elected on November 8, 2022. His current term will expire on <br /> December 31, 2026. <br /> 4. <br /> Kenneth Pickett, Jr. is the biological son of Kenneth Pickett, Sr. <br /> � <br /> On May 17,2023,a patrolman for the Mansura Police Department responded to a domestic <br /> disturbance incident involving Kenneth Pickett, Jr. The patrolman's body camera recorded the <br /> interaction between the patrolman and Mayor Pickett. Mayor Pickett interfered with the arrest of <br /> his son, Kenneth Pickett, Jr. when Mayor Pickett requested the patrolman release his son to his <br /> custody. Mayor Pickett called the Chief of Police and stated," John, will you talk to your officer <br /> and let hiin know I am the Mayor?I am not trying to tell him how to do his job?" The patrolman <br /> asked the Mayor to stop interfering. Mayor Pickett stated "Am I interfering? I am the Mayor." <br />
