In particular, you
asked about your ability to perform future remediation and clean-up work involving gas sta-
tion sites at which you were never assigned to work.
You stated that you were employed by the DEQ as an Environmental Scientist in the Un-
derground Storage Tank and Remediation Division. You stated you terminated your em-
ployment in November of 2016. As part of your duties, you inspected approximately 20 to
25 gas station sites per year in the northeast region for compliance with applicable Louisiana
Underground Storage Tank regulations. You also served as a team leader of individual reme-
diation sites where you reviewed reports submitted by contractors for remediation work they
performed on the site and conducted final monitoring inspections before the site was closed.
You stated that you reported to a regional supervisor and did not supervise other DEQ em-
ployees.
The Board concluded, and instructed me to inform you, that generally, La.
