LOUISIANA BOARD OF ETHICS <br /> CONSENT OPINION <br /> DATE: AUGUST 5,2022 BD NO: 2020-876 <br /> RE: IN THE MATTER OF JUSTIN CHILDRESS <br /> The Board of Ethics (the "BOE"), pursuant to the authority contained in the Louisiana <br /> Code of Governmental Ethics (hereinafter referred to as the "Ethics Code"), La. R.S. 42:1101, et. <br /> seq., and particularly Section 1141 of the Ethics Code, conducted a confidential investigation <br /> concerning information that Justin Childress A) may have violated Section 1111 C(2)(d) of the <br /> Ethics Code by virtue of receiving a thing of economic value for services rendered to an entity <br /> seeking to do business with his agency and B) may have violated Section 1112B(3) of the Ethics <br /> Code by virtue of his participation in the approval and execution of a transaction between his <br /> employer and his agency. <br /> On the basis of information obtained during the investigation, and with the concurrence of <br /> Justin Childress, the BOE and Mr. Childress enter into this Consent Opinion as follows: <br /> I. <br /> PARTIES: <br /> The Parties hereto are: <br /> Justin Childress, a person of the full age of majority, domiciled in the Parish of <br /> Claiborne, with an address of 369 Langford Road, Haynesville, Louisiana 71038; <br /> and, <br /> The Louisiana Board of Ethics, a Louisiana State agency domiciled in East Baton <br /> Rouge Parish whose mailing address is P.O. Box 4368, Baton Rouge, Louisiana <br />
