Ethics Board Docket No. 2022-444 <br /> Page 4 of 9 <br /> 10. <br /> As of January 31, 2023, Karen Carter Peterson's campaign account balance was <br /> $27,948.95. <br /> IV. <br /> PROVISIONS OF LAW: <br /> 11. <br /> Section 1505.1C of the CFDA provides that the failure to disclose, or failure to disclose <br /> accurately, any information required to be reported by the CFDA shall constitute a violation of the <br /> CFDA. Section 15 05.1 C of the CFDA provides in pertinent part: <br /> §1505.1. Failure to submit report; failure to file report timely or properly <br /> C. Failure to disclose or failure to disclose accurately any information required to be <br /> reported by this Chapter shall constitute a violation of this Chapter. <br /> 12. <br /> Section 1505.2I of the CFDA provides that contributions received by a candidate or a <br /> political committee may not be used for personal use unrelated to a political campaign. Section <br /> 1505.2I of the CFDA provides in pertinent part: <br /> §1505.2. Failure to submit report; failure to file report timely or properly <br /> I(l). On and after January 1, 1991, contributions received by a candidate or a political <br /> committee may be expended for any lawful purpose, but such funds shall not be used, <br /> loaned, or pledged by any person for any personal use unrelated to a political campaign, <br /> the holding of a public office or party position, or, in the case of a political committee, <br /> other than a candidate's principal campaign committee or subsidiary committee, the <br /> administrative costs or operating expenses of the political committee; .... <br /> 13. <br /> The following terms are defined in Section 1483 of the CFDA and are relevant when <br /> analyzing the above Sections: <br />
