Box 931 <br /> Metairie, Louisiana 70004 <br /> Re: Docket No.2023-366 <br /> Advisory Opinion <br /> Dear Mr. Bellina: <br /> The Louisiana Board of Ethics, at its meeting on July 7, 2023, considered your request for an <br /> advisory opinion on behalf of CRC Logistic Services,Inc. as to whether the Code of Governmental <br /> Ethics ("Code") prohibits it from purchasing commercial property from the City of Kenner or <br /> entering into any future contracts with the City of Kenner. <br /> FACTS PROVIDED <br /> Adam Campo was employed by the City of Kenner as the Chief Compliance Officer until his <br /> resignation on June 30, 2022. The City of Kenner provided that Mr. Campo's duties were the <br /> equivalent of a Deputy Chief Administrative Officer. He reported to Chief Administrative Officer <br /> Deborah Foshee. <br /> Mr. Campo is now employed by CRC Logistic Services, Inc. ("CRC"). CRC does not currently <br /> have any contracts with the City of Kenner. However, CRC is attempting to purchase commercial <br /> property owned by the City of Kenner. You stated that Mr. Campo has not performed. does not <br /> perform, and will not perform any services for CRC involving the City of Kenner for a period of <br /> two years following his public service with the City of Kenner. You ask whether CRC may <br /> purchase the property from the City of Kenner or enter into any future contracts with the City of <br /> Kenner. <br /> LAW <br /> La.
