LOUISIANA BOARD OF ETHICS <br /> CONSENT OPINION <br /> BD NO: 2021-591 <br /> RE: IN THE MATTER OF DR. SHELTA J. RICHARDSON <br /> The Louisiana Board of Ethics (the "BOE"), pursuant to the authority contained in the <br /> Louisiana Code of Governmental Ethics (the "Ethics Code"), La. R.S. 42:1101, et. seq., and <br /> particularly Section 1141 of the Ethics Code, conducted a confidential investigation concerning <br /> information that Dr. Shelta J. Richardson, in her capacity as a member of the St. Tammany Parish <br /> School Board (the "School Board"), may have violated Section 1111C(2)(d) of the Ethics Code <br /> by virtue of her receipt of compensation for services rendered to The Academy of Early Learning, <br /> a Louisiana non-profit corporation, (the "Academy") while the Academy had or was seeking to <br /> have contractual, financial or business relationships with the School Board. <br /> On the basis of information obtained during the investigation, and with the concurrence of <br /> Dr. Richardson, the BOE and Dr. Richardson enter into this Consent Opinion as follows: <br /> I. <br /> PARTIES: <br /> The Parties hereto are: <br /> Dr. Shelta J. Richardson, a person of the full age of majority, domiciled <br /> in the Parish of St. Tammany with the last known address of 120 Aiken <br /> Road, Waveland, MS 39576; and <br /> The Louisiana Board of Ethics, a Louisiana State agency domiciled in <br /> East Baton Rouge Parish whose mailing address is P.O. Box 4368, Baton <br /> Rouge, Louisiana 70821. <br />
