Ethics Board Docket No. 2023-688 <br /> Page 4 of 9 <br /> 8. <br /> On March 23,2024,Darrin Dixon was elected to the Caddo Parish School Board in a special <br /> election to complete the term of office left vacant by the removal of Barbara Smith-Iverson from the <br /> Caddo Parish School Board. <br /> 9. <br /> During 2023, Darrin Dixon received $4,000 from the Caddo Parish School Board for his <br /> service on the Caddo Parish School Board. <br /> IV. <br /> PROVISIONS OF LAW: <br /> 1. <br /> Section 1121A(2)prohibits a former member of a board from being appointed to any position <br /> by that board within two years of the termination of his public service on such board. <br /> §1121. <br /> A(2). No former member of a board or commission shall, for a period of two years <br /> following the termination of his public service on such board or commission,contract <br /> with, be employed in any capacity by, or be appointed to any position by that board <br /> or commission. <br /> 2. <br /> The following provisions proscribe the penalties the Ethics Adjudicatory Board may assess <br /> if the Ethics Adjudicatory Board determines a violation of the Code of Governmental Ethics has <br /> occurred: <br />
