LeBlanc: <br /> The Louisiana Board of Ethics, at its April 4, 2025 meeting, considered your advisory opinion <br /> request as to whether the Code of Governmental Ethics (the "Code") permits you to be appointed <br /> tc, a position by a board on which you currently serve, and whether your company may contract <br /> with such boa--d. <br /> FACTS PROVIDED <br /> ]"he Lakeshore; Villages Master Community Development District (the "CDD") is a local, special <br /> purpose governmental entity established under the Community Development District Act,La. R.S. <br /> 33:9039.11 et seq. The CDD is governed by a five-member board, and also has a district manager <br /> who oversees day-to-day operations. The district manager position is appointed by the CDD board. <br /> �(ou currently serve as a board member of the CDD. <br /> You also own and operate Special District Management Solutions LLC (the "Company"), which <br /> specializes in managing development districts' daily operations. <br /> The CDD's current district manager is expected to step down from that role soon. You would like <br /> tc, know whether you may step down from your current role as board member of the CDD and be <br /> a.ppDinted as district manager. Further,you would like to know whether the Company may contract <br /> "ith the board to assist you in serving as district manager. <br /> LAW <br /> La.
