La. R.S. 42:1121B(1) also prohibits you, for two years following your retirement from public <br /> employment with the Calcasieu Parish School District on June 25, 2025, from rendering any <br /> service, which you previously rendered to Iowa High/Middle School during your public <br /> employment, on a contractual basis to, for, or on behalf of your for�ner agency, Iowa High/Middle <br /> School, regardless of the parties to the contract. However, you are not prohibited from rendering <br /> new services, such as providing embroidery and sewing services, on a contractual basis to, for, or <br /> on behalf of Iowa High/Middle School since you did not previously render those services to Iowa <br /> High/Middle School during your public employment. <br /> CONCLUSION <br /> The Board concluded and instructed me to inform you that the two-year post-employment <br /> restrictions contained in the Code do not prohibit you or your business, Rachel's Stitches, LLC, <br /> from providing einbroidery and sewing services to Iowa High/Middle School,the Calcasieu Parish <br /> School District, or any other school within the Calcasieu Parish School District for compensation <br /> immediately following your retirement on June 25, 2025. <br /> This advisory opinion is based solely on the facts as set forth herein. Changes to the facts as <br /> presented may result in a different application of the provisions of the Louisiana Code of <br /> Govei�unental Ethics. The Board issues no opinion as to past conduct or as to laws other than the <br /> Louisiana Code of Governmental Ethics, the Campaign Finance Disclosure Act, the Lobbyist <br /> Disclosure Act, and the conflict of interest provisions contained in the Louisiana Gaming Control <br /> Law.
