Ethics Board Docket No. 2022-698 <br /> Page 2 of 7 <br /> II. <br /> JURISDICTION <br /> l. <br /> The BOE is an agency of the State of Louisiana domiciled in East Baton Rouge Parish, <br /> Louisiana. <br /> 2. <br /> The BOE is authorized to offer a Consent Opinion to Aimee Riviere by virtue of Section <br /> 1141C(3)(fl of the Ethics Code. <br /> III. <br /> FINDINGS OF FACT <br /> 3. <br /> Aimee Riviere was employed by the West Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office("WBRSO")from <br /> October 2, 2017, until her termination on September 2, 2022. <br /> 4. <br /> Aimee Riviere was employed as a Deputy in the WBRSO Civil Division whose duties <br /> included accounting for fiduciary funds collected by the West Baton Rouge Parish Jail from work <br /> release program employers and inmate canteen accounts. Aimee Riviere was responsible for <br /> collecting deposits and preparing checks for signature associated with the two WBRSO accounts. <br /> 5. <br /> On or about May 1, 2022, Aimee Riviere prepared a check drawn on WBRSO Account <br /> No. 1096 made payable to herself in the amount of Six Hundred Eighty Dollars ($680.00), which <br /> was subsequently deposited into her personal checking account. <br />
