R.S. 4 :1.11B( ) states that no public servant shall participate in a. <br /> transaction involving the governmental entity in which,to his actual knowledge,any <br /> person of which he is an officer, director, trustee, partner, or employee has a <br /> substantial economic interest. <br /> (d) La.R.S.42;1114 provides that each public servant and each member of <br /> his immediate family who derives anything of economic value,directly,through ars. <br /> transaction involving the agency of such public servant or who derives any thing of <br /> economic value of which he may be reasonably expected to know through a person <br /> which (1) is regulated by the agency of such public servant, or (2) has bid on or <br /> entered into oris in any way financially interested in any contract,subcontract,or any <br /> transaction under the supervision or jurisdiction of the agency of such public servant <br /> shall disclose certain information as set forth in Section 1114. <br /> (e) La.R.S.39:1233.1 Notwithstanding any provi cion of Chapter 15 of Title <br /> 42 of the Devised Statutes of 1950 or any other law to the contrary, any member of <br /> a local d-epositing authority, including the chief executive officer thereof,may serve <br /> as an officer, director, or employee,whether compensated or not,, of any national or <br /> state bank; provided that he shall recuse himself from voting in favor of any such <br /> bank and shall disclose the reason for such recusal by filing same into the minutes or <br /> record of the local depositing authority and by forwarding a disclosure form to the <br /> -hoard of Ethics. <br /> (f) La. R.S. 42:110 (1 ) "Governmental entity it means the state or any <br /> political subdivision which employs the public employee or employed the former <br /> public employee or to which the elected official is elected, as the case may be. <br /> (g) La. R.S. 42:110 (17) "Political subdivision" means any unit of local <br /> government,including a special district,authorized by law top erform governmental <br /> functions. <br />
